Konig 3400W Induction Cooker

Stand alone 2 zone induction hob. The Konig 3400W Induction Cooker is energy saving, portable and fantastic for use when camping, caravaning or at work (you'll need access to a standard 3 pin plug socket).

The Konig Induction Hob is of 3400 watt and has 10 different temperature levels, varying from 60° to 240°C, that makes it superb for warming, fry cooking, deep frying and stir frying.

The built in timer allows you to set any time up to 180 minutes and when the time is up an audible beep will sound, so that should help prevent over cooking.

Control is very easy and is done by use of the buttons at the front, you can use either the preset settings or due to the memory function, input your own without any risk of over writing the presets.

So, what is an Induction Cooker?
An Induction Cooker uses a heating process called "Induction Heating", this is the process of heating an electrically conducting object by creating a magnetic field. This means that the pan itself is heated up, rather than the cooker and heat is much more rapid and evenly spread and improves the cooking time. The higher the wattage of the Induction Cooker the quicker it heats the object to the desired temperature, reducing cooking time.

Because heat is generated from an induced electric current, the hob can detect when a pan is removed or boils dry and usually switches off, making it safer than any other cooker.

Cleaning is much easier as the surface is flat and spillage tends not to burn to it, since the hob is nowhere near as hot as the pan.

Can I Use My Current Pans With An Induction Cooker?
There's a very simple test you can do, take a magnet, (a fridge magnet will do) and place it on the bottom of the pan, if it sticks in place you can use that pan.
